Soulmates

I never did believe in soul mates...it couldn't be possible that u meet someone with similar interests and fall right into a wave of emotions and declare them your soul mate. I think soul mates are those who have spent almost a lifetime with one another, going through all life's trials and tribulations and stick to one another until the end. And you look back and say "Yes, that is my soul mate".
29 years and one fine day, i meet mine... similar interests, that instantaneous chemistry, everything magical that i only used to read from romance novels. Nothing ever did happen, we met, parted in distance and remained friends. I dunno if there is any love or there would be...but affection, yes.
I'm glad i got to meet him, my so-called soul-mate...wonder if he feels the same but even if he doesn't, it doesn't matter. Even if things never happened in a way i wished could, it didn't matter. I'm just glad that in some instances the fantasy that only fictional literature can offer happens in real life too.
